Hi everyone! Looking for some guidance on resources you use for benchmarking for workforce planning/DEI specifically in the tech space?
Hi Everyone! I’m torn between which HR certification to pursue (SHRM-SCP or SPHR). Which one would you recommend and why?
Ladies & Gentlemen, with one month left in Q2, some will fall short of our numbers. Others will hit them. I can’t speak for all of us here, however, I can speak for myself. That being said, I will NOT be one that comes up short of my number. Now, this leads me to you all, to present a question. If you have to prospect, if you’re looking for new business, is it worth $1500 to put 95% of your prospecting process on autopilot? If so, let’s chat.
How long, on average, did it take you to study before you could pass the PHR/SPHR exam? Did you think it was worth it?
Just signed a new employment contract! Any tips for coming up with a good 90 day gameplan? There's nothing like new sales guy energy. The less you know the easier it is I've always found. Is there a way to verify an email address without sending emails? I need to verify A TON of emails, but don’t need to actually send them emails myself.
Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!
How long does it take to get over ptsd from being in a toxic micromanaging environment? I was a top biller and top manager at a large staffing company for five years and was treated like a child. The place was crazy. Six months into my new role I’m still scared to request PTO or afraid that my boss would be mad if she found that I took an afternoon break to walk my dog.
Currently, I have an employee who is struggling. Missing deadlines, making false promises to clients etc. Recently, I sat in one of his development sessions with his manager, and I was shocked at how disengaged he was and how junior he actually vs what we pay him. After some further investigation, we are afraid he lied on his resume and how his experience. How do you go about a situation such as this? This is a first for me.
Any female MM/ENT AEs with SaaS or Fintech experience looking to make a move? Series D company positioned to IPO in 2 years. Would be wild if this works lol
Anyone here work at PwC in North America? Curious about the work culture and if there's anything to watch out for
Anyone work in Campus Recruiting? How are you planning for fall given uncertainty at schools/likelihood of virtual learning?
So, I'm really curious, for those of us who aren't essential workers, how are you handling return to work? Phases? 50% capacity? Self Identifying disclosures? Sanitization stations?
Just joined a small consulting firm, like the work and the people so far. They hired me at a lower level and salary for lack of BD experience, with the expectation that I perform and earn a promotion in 3-6 months. I have another better offer with a larger product based company that’s setting up its consulting business as one of the early hires. Is there a nice way I can leverage offer 2 with company 1? I’ll feel terrible about leaving tbh. This would also be my 1st job in the country.
recommendations on webcams and usb mics? i’m looking to upgrade my WFH tech, since we’ll be WFH’ing for the next year, probably. lots of client face time, so wanna look/sound good.
A hostile takeover at Occidental with a price war and coronavirus is like the plot of a movie.

I will be getting a puppy in about a month and have the option to get pet insurance through work with a $250 deductible, $7500 max coverage, and ranging from 50% to 90% reimbursement. I know I am weird, but I feel like being a Tax manager is becoming too comfortable for me...and it feels weird to be in a comfort zone. And now that we know our salary, I feel like I am just waiting to get promoted in a year or two. Am I just easily bored? Anyone feels this way?

Does anyone have advice on getting the most compensation post-clerkship? I will probably end up going back to my current firm, but is there flexibility to negotiate a bigger clerkship bonus if I get offers from other firms? Can I ask to get paid a class year above my actual year? Are boutique firms the way to go on this? (NY/DC market)
Unrelated to law, but need some advice on how to help a friend. One of my best friend’s dad is in the hospital in really bad shape. She’s home with her mom and siblings. I want to send food or do something for them, especially since they just found out they may have been exposed to covid when visiting their dad at the hospital (not by their dad), and they have to quarantine for 2 weeks. If I were closer I’d make food and drop it off, but they’re 200 miles away. Any ideas?
What do folks think about mid-career or executive level MPH programs? Worth it or a total waste money? Was thinking more health related credentials could be useful.
Anyone who has recently accepted a job at EY consulting I would greatly appreciate your insight. How would you describe work life balance in comparison to the company you left? Was the increase in pay/benefits worth the change in work life balance? I’m currently in a situation where I work close to 40 hours a week (remote), so I’m hesitant to accept a new role where I may work 50-60 hours a week for only 20k more pay. Also for reference I’m looking at transitioning into a senior consultant role.
Can anyone from PwC advisory give me some insights about senior manager comp in tier1 city? Thanks!PwC
