I’m a Recruiter looking to pivot into a Generalist role. I have 6 years of experience in HR started as a Hr Associate and then the rest strictly in recruitment. Any advice for remote generalist work out there?

HR/LEGAL HELP: I work for a multi-state remote employer. I am doing a classification study of sorts and believe that we may have to reclassify some positions. The impact is moving exempt and salaried positions to non-exempt. This has caused us to consider what states we are/should be hiring from. Any issues with excluding candidates from certain states that may have more stringent pay laws? Appreciate your help!

Hostile work environment? 15 yes of HR experience- been w/current employer 1 year. Relationship w/manager is push & pull. The situation is stressful to the point it’s triggering health issues. Out of the blue today, my manager sends me an email titled “Accommodation Follow-Up”. Last week I wasn’t feeling well & took a 1 sick day to go to ER. There has been NO discussion for accommodations, nor any request made. But the email mentioned “pre-existing condition” and felt very intentional.

Looking for a benchmark amongst others in my space. How many hours do you work per week on average? Curious what others work/life balance looks like.

Is it a good idea to email a recruiter after a second round interview asking them to pass along a thank you message to the interviewers if you don’t have their email? I’m trying to be courteous while also being anxious

Hello fellow HR pros! I really need your opinions on HR certifications. I am deciding between PHR and SHRM-cp. I have read just about all there is online comparing the two and can not decide. My heart is telling me PHR, my mother in law (an HRBP) is telling me to go with SHRM, as it’s more widely recognized, more established and a larger network in general. I work for a 350~ company who is growing rapidly through M&A. Passions/interests are compliance, strategic vision, M&A, branding and culture

Has anyone interviewed for ilobby before? If yes, how was the experience?

Had anyone here transitioned from a Solution Engineering role to an Account Executive role? Interested to hear what your experience was like. My main concern is that in a sales role (other than the need to be an extrovert), the income can be quite variable so for those who have transitioned was it worth it?
