I don’t think it’s disrespectful to wear pink and green if you like the colors. However, I can see how it might have been interpreted differently, especially if it’s linked to a specific organization like AKA. Maybe she felt like it was inappropriate if it wasn’t part of the tradition. It’s a tricky situation!
