Hey Strategy& folks,
Initially was referred for Strategy& manager and just got off the phone with the recruiter. Recruiter forwarded my S& contact to have me apply for PWC manager role when I clearly stated i was only interested in S& based on my current compensation and background.
Dont know if it is just a generic PWC manager role I was asked to apply or should i be concerned?
Background: 8 years post MBA. Currently director at CVS health. Previous experience at UHG and 2 years at Accenture.

Anyone recently exit to a strategy role in big tech? Curious about how the interview process was and whether the comp is comparable to what we make in consulting? Also wonder how the work life balance is? I haven’t started applying yet but trying to figure out whether it will be a good fit

For internal strategy Manager roles or equivalent at big 4 or MBB - what is expected comp (base + bonus)?

A little over 4.5 YOE in Consulting and I’m making $111k. What’s a fair base comp to jump for when exploring other opportunities? Primarily looking at Strategy manager roles across industries. I’m hoping for at least 130k but wondering if I’m aiming too low.

I've been with my current agency for 4 years and seen two promotions, the promotions have been 4% of base salary.

Received an offer from a pre-IPO (Series D) AI software startup in HCOL city. Trying to assess the offer.

Role: Strategy Manager
Salary: $115k
Equity: 5000 shares ($80k)
YOE: 3.5
Benefits: About as good as they come

I thought the base salary was going to be higher. Am I being greedy?

What do you guys think of a Sales Strategy Manager at a Series D AI software company valued at $800M (top investors, well funded, 100%+YoY growth, large market).

I’m 25M 3.5 YOE and don’t know if I want to be in “Sales”. I’ll be the only person in the company with a “strategy” title, and would hopefully parlay it into a Corp Dev // Chief of Staff role down the line.

Thoughts on the role, trajectory, and potential comp?
