So what happens when you find out you got laid off? Do you give yourself a full on break for a while or go straight into looking for the next thing to do? I feel like I don't even know what the next step is, I'm blanking out and can't process the shock. I know that a lot of people are getting let go, but it's always been someone else's story. I didn't realise that it could always be my story one day. And now that it is, I'm sitting and staring into the distance, not knowing if I can recover.

I'm sorry! But hey, don't let yourself think its the end of the world. Or that it's the last good opportunity that will come your way. It isn't, and as long as you won't let it.. it won't be.

I'm sorry you're going through a lay off. I think it's fair to give yourself time to think about what you want to do next. Maybe it's not even what you were doing. If it's financially possible, take a break for a couple weeks and don't even think about your next step. Sometimes you've been in the grind too long and haven't given yourself a chance to look at the bigger picture.

HOA - doing something without approval.....was planning to change my windows without hoa approval but my neighbour snitched. I came clean to the hoa and now I need to go through a 2 mo approval process and they might not even approve my windows. I paid 7k for them. I am now feeling regret for not just ignoring the hoa email and then still installing and dealing with the fine on the back end ? Thoughts? I’m also worried now that I’m on some radar. Am I overthinking this?
