McKinsey & Company Any tested strategy to move from FDD/PMO profile to a strategy/consulting profile?
How would you bring that change to align yourself towards a strategy profile at a Manager level?
Are there any projects/internships that one can do to gain practical exposure ?

Is it worth getting PMP, Scrum, CSCP?
McKinsey & Company McKinsey & Company Hi there! I’m looking at applying to McKinsey, and am wondering what is the correct level to apply for. I’m a second year analyst (recently promoted to consultant but title isn’t effective until end of the month), and I’ve been with my firm for 1.5 years. Is business analyst the correct level for me, or should I be looking at associate roles? Reading the description for associate, I feel like it might be the Deloitte equivalent of SC lol

Eh, I think we do a decent job at that. "Stay humble and curious" is one of our core values.
ZS is very balanced on this.

Won’t find that at Deloitte lol
I’ve never really experienced the ego side of Deloitte. Maybe I got lucky?
Bain. IME there is a “nothing to prove” sort of mentality, people just work hard and do strong work and they know it. Felt Deloitte had basically the opposite culture in that regard and it was exhausting

Slalom! Honestly, the biggest egos here are the ex-Big 4. 😶

I think we do a decent job of not being complete egomaniacs, especially given our senior-heavy operating model (which can lend itself to “oh I already know everything” syndrome).
Anecdotally I’ve also really enjoyed working with PwC and Strategy& people on various engagements, hard working without massive chips on their shoulders.

S& with no ego? 🤣 Rare.
I’d like to think we’re pretty humble people

GT. Nowhere near prestigious enough to have an ego.
Doesn’t exist

10 year career across different firms, AP has by far the best work environment I’ve been in: most pragmatic, zero ego, zero BS, straight forward.
I agree. I never hear anyone at AP bragging about their work. But they are a great firm
