Please guys am an experienced kp and housekeeper any help with job
I think they make those listings deliberately vague. But at least you know you have a set hourly wage you can rely on. I bet tips fluctuate a lot.
Yeah I think so too! Don’t think tips should be counted at all!

Any tipped wage will fluctuate. But in some states, it’s required for the business to pay you at least what you’d make if you were paid minimum wage, if your tips don’t bring you to that threshold
Oh really? I’ve never heard of that before! But maybe they don’t do that in the uk?
The real and “guaranteed” take-home pay is that hourly rate. Tips are going to vary so much that you really cannot count on them in a meaningful way. The mention of tips is usually just to help the hourly, as it’s going to probably be low.
Yeah I don’t think you should count tips as any sort of pay!
I never include bonuses or tips into any kind of pay. If you can’t afford to live off the base pay rate, that to me is key. It’s why I hate the idea of commission retail work; I personally need stability. I never include potential bonuses into the money I earn because if you plan for them and then don’t get them, you can feel desperate financially.
Yeah definitely don’t think tips should be counted! If the pay is usually to low I won’t apply/take it!
