I'm trying to lose weight. I have a fridge & microwave in my room. what should I bring everyday for lunch? I stopped drinking soda, what else can I do?

drink a lot of water. get enough sleep. I know they seem obvious, but it's something we as teachers easily sacrifice without realizing that weight gain is connected.

My Dr. said to limit carbs to 100g per day and get 50g of protein. I also found a resting metabolic rate calculator online which stated that mine is so low at 1359 so if I want to lose weight my calories need to be less than that! I took the time (about 3 hours!) to plan a weeks worth of meals and snacks at 1200 calories (watching the carbs and protein too) and lost 4 lbs!

I keep individual packets of trail mix and mixed nuts at my desk. Some of my favorite things to pack are hard boiled eggs, cottage cheese, fruit, I also love “Well Yes” Poblano and Corn sipping soup

Cut our simple carbs, soda and sugar. That’ll do it.

Don’t eat past 4pm!! It really works :)

I agree with everything said. Intermittent fasting. You eat in a 8 hour window and fast for 16 hours. Or 9/15.

Soooo how are we feeling about booking flights to Europe for early spring? Less so worried about getting covid as I’m boosted but more so about worsening restrictions. I’m looking at countries that have already announced they aren’t changing restrictions BUT the flights have layovers in countries that are (ie UK, France, Germany). Also wondering when to book as prices for those flights seem to be skyrocketing.

Has anyone on here suffered with scalp psoriasis and had success treating it? I've struggled with it for a few years, and I found that the last few months it has just gotten horrible. My scalp will start flaking the day after I wash it and I can visibly see large flakes in my hair - and I'm sure other people can too. It's getting embarassing and not sure what to do other than medication which I've heard can cause hair loss. I've tried ACV rinses and tea tree oil, but no real results.

Just completed my last shift in the ICU. I'm glad to be shifting back to the Maternatity ward. It was exhausting, and emotionally draining working with such sick patients. I know the work we did made a big difference, but I'm glad to go back to my favorite role!

I just got a really great offer, only downside is the eligibility for maternity leave is after 12 months of employment. We got a faint positive today but have had so many chemical pregnancies over the past year that I am not confident it will stick this time BUT I am on aspirin and progesterone for this try … so it could.. My parent has a star health policy for which the renewal premium is drastically increasing (almost by 50%) every year at age 51.
With such increase I do not think it will be viable for long term. So planning to switch/port.

Salam. 23M here - all my life I’ve had my back on our faith - never really prayed but had imaan (I guess). After bouts of depression from girl problems (🙄), issues within immediate family, being disappointed expectations I had for myself, etc. I’ve been working on bettering my situation over the years.
