A big thing for me is not feeling like I have to like my job. I think a lot of people end up getting bent out of shape because they want their career to be something they enjoy and is fulfilling and meaningful, etc. But really, you don't have to like it in order to do it. You can find little ways to make the day more enjoyable, but your job doesn't have to define you or bring you some sort of meaning.

Thanks for the response
Sometimes it's just a matter of remind myself that showing up and putting in the effort is part of being professional. I don't have to find great meaning in it, and I don't have to see every part of the job as providing gratification. It's enough to put in the work and navigate through the parts I don't like and protect my sanity as best I can.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
I tend to keep to myself to protect my energy. The vampires can be everywhere in a toxic workplace and you don’t always know who they are
