It's embarrasing to realize but I've been there too. I did a full audit a few months ago and was shocked at how much I was spending for a lot of my subscriptions/bills. I was able to find some better rates and cancel things i wasn't using by using Rocket Money (a financial app). It’s a bit of work, but it’s so worth it once you see the savings!
A good weekend project is to start a Google Sheet and list all your various subscriptions and policies and anything that will renew. I always like to have an idea of what's coming up just so I don't get blindsided by some large charge hitting my checking account. And seriously, checking your subscriptions is such a good idea, it got me into my current practice, which is to suspend streaming services for months at a time. Most of what's on them is just junk, so I re-sub when something comes on that's worthwhile.
