Did anyone work in gartner consulting? How is the Associate director role and how many levels in between to reach partner/principal

Thanks for adding more hoops for us to jump through. Becoming a principal in KM has always been a question mark. I've been here close to a decade now and I thought I could at least become a senior director (like AP - both the position and the person) in a few years. Now I find there's another level to grind through and burn myself out with politics to reach the top. Truly, 2022 has been a horrible year at ZS. I feel like I've returned to a totally different company after the pandemic.

Want to interview for BCG data engineer principal/ manager role in coming weeks. Anyone willing to refer?

Went through several rounds for a managerial position at a company and had one more round before a presumed offer.

Just got an email from the recruiter stating that the position was filled internally, but they want me to take another position on the same team as a Principal, but because of "internal team equity", the original salary range would now be lower (without saying exactly by how much).

I really liked the company, by it kind of feels like a rope a dope. What would you do?

Looking at jumping to other firms, but trying to navigate the positions they use for data and analytics leaders in consulting.
