So our school board just fired our principal last tonight. He was terrible for the last five years but decided now would be a good time. Our head secretary who has been here for 30 years took a different position at another site two weeks ago because of that principal. We start school in three weeks with no principal, no head secretary, and no schedule for distance learning. Please pray for me 😐
I interviewed last Tuesday with a district and revived a phone call from a principal 30 minutes later offering me a position. She said HR would get back to me. I haven’t heard anything since. Should I be worried?
Very close to making principal with a top tier consulting firm (6-8 months). Have received a good offer from industry in their strategy team. It's definitely a bit of a step down in terms of where I am today and future revenues. I really liked the role and people though. I want a more balanced life (family, social, sports) and know enough that it's not possible in our profession. Is the exit worth it or I should just suck it up and make principal? Any personal experiences in such a situation

Trying to gauge the meaning of response from PPED round. Was interviewing for a position in one of the big 4 and the principal in the PPED round mentioned at the end of the call “ I will have my recruiter reach out to you and discuss the next steps”. What does this mean? is it a good sign or not? Any idea folks?

Coming from Big Four, I have two offers to consider. One is for a small firm, manager role, $90k plus insurance covered. Would be pretty much on an island in my role. Other offer with Eide Bailly, lateral move, $77K, a little more than I would have made in previous position. Firm culture and structure, mentorship opportunities much better. Likely to be promoted up to $85K-$90K within a year. Is culture worth $16k? Any opinions from someone with Eide Bailly experience?

I was hired as an in house counsel for a company with little experience. The position was very new in the company. I performed my work flawlessly. They hired a new attorney to fill my position with slightly more experience. Two days before I returned to work, I found out she became my manager. She took my raise and promotion and now I report to her. I’ve worked there for 1 year and within 12 wks she was promoted. I feel punished for having a baby. Has anyone dealt with a similar situation?

How do you dress for a full-on interview day when it's freezing outside? Ideally, I would wear heels during the interview, and boots outdoors on the way. My boots can't fit in my purse.
Although I recognize this isn’t a good time to do so, if I have to, when should I start applying for lateral roles? I’m a mid level for whom the writing is on the wall and the work has dried up, so I know I have to leave as soon as is practicable. Given the current situation I know it will be hard to find a new job, but is it better to start applying now, wait until Aug-ish, or even later until Nov/Dec (I’m worried that may be too late and I may be let go by then). Litigation practice, NYC.
