This is crazy. My friend just applied for a restaurant GM job and got a verbal offer. She tried to negotiate salary, and they revoked their offer! I've never heard of this. I thought negotiation was standard practice?! What do you think of this?

When an organization is not adequately staffed, be sure increase the number of meetings to address how to allocate people. Forcing negotiations at multiple org levels around the same decisions will ensure everyone is totally aligned.

This accomplishes three things:
1) Everyone is mad at each other since they’re competing for people
2) They’re confused and not able to pay attention to the root issue of chronic under staffing
3) They’re distracted from blaming mgmt for the root cause.
