The pandemic normalized career pauses. Be upfront and frame it as a period of personal development or caregiving, but I understand the frustration when you aren't even getting a chance to explain. GOod luck

Is that something you can mention on the resume so they are aware?
Get a PRN/ agency gig. It doesn't matter if u work 1 day a week or 1 day per month- it still counts as employment and will fill the gaps in the résumé.
Same here. it's beyond frustrating. I have 8 years of clinical experience and I have a terminal nursing degree and yet..*crickets* I picked up a PRN role in the mean time but it really sucks receiving multiple rejection emails for positions you are highly qualified to perform. It really sucks and when I come here to these posts, I don't feel so alone with my application experience. There's so many "although your resume and experience is impressive, we went with another candidate" emails I can take.
