Saw it. Feels a little crazy to me how much money people would leave on the table just to not go into a physical office, but of course it’s their choice if they truly have that luxury. Personally, as someone who prefers WFH but will do hybrid for sake of career and money, I’m kind of happy to see these people dig in their heels on the whole remote thing. Just makes it easier for me to get a new and better job when the time comes.

Ah, yeah well, it’s kind of two separate things. People who would have to relocate entirely, which is not a new thing. I was offered a better paying and higher title job in Chicago back in like 2012 but I didn’t want to leave NYC.

And then the other thing is people who can make the commute from where they live but simply won’t because they dislike in-office that much. Of course, there are also the people who fall into both categories.

Any EU attorneys who went for an LL. M. in international commercial law (or other) in Europe?

If so have you found it "worth" the year of your time? I am currently working at a firm that specializes mostly on commercial law and has a lot of foreign clients. I have some options regarding the possible LL. M. One of them is little less prestigeous that would allow me to stay working at law firm as I am studying. The other would mean taking a year off work and pursuing the LL. M, Thanks for help

Associate at an AmLaw 100 firm doing patent work. I applied to a part time masters program to try to pivot to a different technical field (still doing patent work, but in something that interests me more than what I’m doing now). Do I try to stick it out at the firm while getting the masters, ask for a reduced hours schedule, or get a part time, non-legal job so I can focus more on the program (one year).
