Don't do anything until you have an actual good idea and also acceptable the fact that such good idea may just never come to you.

Trying to get into habit of reading. Have never read any books and would love some recommendations General interest include investment, trchnology, short stories with moral, entrepreneurship, business

I am an aspiring entrepreneur and want to start a business in future for sure. I have a few ideas but nothing concrete, or close to being a start up yet. I work in tech, but a generalist - have done sales, delivery operations etc. trying to get experience in as many areas as possible before I go on my own. I dnt know where to start the journey. Are their any books or other material I can read/reference to think and plan about my entrepreneurship journey. I m in mid 40s based in t2 city US east.

Book recommendation - "Ride of a lifetime" by Robert Iger. Story of someone who started as a studio operator and went on to become the CEO of Walt Disney. Really relatable to most of us who are employees and not entrepreneurs. Books on Steve Jobs, Elon Musk are all good but I loved Robert's story more as I could relate and aspire. How he takes tough decisions, how he negotiated with Steve Jobs to acquire Pixar, his honesty, humility etc. are all something we can learn from. Go for it fishes 😄

Hi Guys, I need some help. I had joined kpmg global services recently (7 months) back from one of the IT services companies in an advisory role however now I have received an offer from HCL with 40% hike to my current CTC. What should I do. I have heard that KGS gives decent hikes and bonus payouts however the work is completely backend with limited customer interaction and limited good quality. Can someone throw some light on HCL as well, what is good and what is bad and which to choose

Help. My supervisor and I work closely together on our project. Partner and SM have told us directly they want me more visible, to build a brand with client, etc. But when I raise my hand to take things on (drive meetings, sub initiatives etc), manager refuses to give up any of the “higher visibility” work so that, in his words, he does not risk himself falling out of the spotlight, he wants to be the “go to”. It’s not that I am not capable (lots of great feedback from him and Partner/SM) -

I’d love to move to either an ultrawide or just upgrade the 1080p monitor to a 4K one but am worried I’ll have the same issues it appearing small on the other persons end. Anyone have any suggestions?
