That's wonderful, there's something to be said for watching the rain. I spent some time today sifting fresh compost from my compost pile, and that was gratifying. I've been avoiding getting to it because it's been so hot, but I wanted to spread some around a few plants so the job couldn't wait much longer. It was really hot today so I kept it brief, but it felt good to be doing it.

Sometimes it is more therapeutic than it is relaxing but both are important.
I gathered up clothes to donate and thinned me closet a little.

We do the great purge every summer, and it resets my mind.
I relaxed in bed until 10 am, and then took a shower. Then I read a boom for some time!!! It's the best feeling ever during the sunny summer months!!!

I am so enjoying getting to read books. The Minnesota Marshalls is an incredible book series, if you are looking for something to read. The series is also in audio book format.
Sounds so nice, we've had such a heat wave (and it's going to get worse this week) so I would love to see some rain. But the heat wasn't so bad today because we got out to a nearby reservoir with some friends and it was so nice to be out on paddle boards and hanging out outside. So can't complain too much about my Sunday!

Well, I visited my cousin at her Alabama church for Sunday Morning Worship, and then went to Tanger Outlet Mall with my family. I wrapped up my me time by sitting on the balcony listening to my music and the ocean waves, and reading a book until the sun went down.

The savoring has been wonderful. This summer has been the first summer since I started teaching at my current school (10 years) that I have spent more time at home than at the school prepping. Of course, I am a little stressed now that school starts in 8 days.
Not much, I retired in June and just taking my time. Still testing from last year
