For those of you with immediate family members who are at high risk, how are you doing? I find myself being very anxious and stressed about my father getting sick.

Same. I’m super anxious about my parents; both in their 60s and have underlying health conditions.

like

I have two elderly parents with a slew of pre-existing health problems who I am terrified of getting sick. I live with them and so I am trying my hardest not to expose myself. For now I work from home. Anything they need to leave the house for I try to do it myself or order for them and I make contact with the delivery person.

So far we are all fine so all we can do now is hope other people are being as diligent and proactive.

And thank you for your kind words.

My dad is in a high risk category so if he gets it would be one that would likely die. It worries me. My consolation is that he is in Indiana and there aren’t any cases in his area yet. He doesn’t get out much anyway so I am hoping his natural introvert tendencies will protect him. My mom isn’t as much of a high risk and she does all the shopping for them. I just hope neither of them get it.

My dad is very extroverted and I heard from my mom he was still out and about like nothing is going on. I called him yesterday and told him that he was making me VERY NERVOUS and FREAKING me out!!! He is elderly and awaiting heart surgery. He said people are over-reacting and I said that may be true for young, healthy people but it’s very dangerous for people his age. I tried to talk some sense into him but I don’t know if he will listen. He has me so worried.

529 Plan VERSUS Prepaid

We live in Florida and currently have a Freshman in High School and a 16 month old. We hear from our friends and family with college bound children "I wish we would have done Florida PrePaid." After obviously ignoring this for years, we are finally trying to do it before "it's too late" for both children.

Does anyone have recommendations on which plan to go with for each child? I once did the pros and cons on a whiteboard and it seemed like 529 was better.

Hi All, I am 11 yoe, working at a medium sized product company and I got an offer from Thoughtworks (50% hike) for a Lead Consultant role in data engineer profile.

Being a mother, I have anxiety and nervousness about joining a service based company bcoz of doubts below.
1. Job security, considering the upcoming recession is it safe to join TW at this time?
2. How good is WLB at TW for a Lead Consultant? Approx working hours on a daily basis?
3. How flexible is TW for WFH?

Please suggest

Question: Girl friends parents finally came over for a ristha. Everything went great or so I thought but now she wants to time to think about moving forward. The pain point she brought up is that we are in different states and she is feeling pressed. Welcome to our pre-k inclusive classroom. Even with 8 students, and only face to face for 4 hours, we struggle. We struggle being heard through our masks. We struggle with social distancing. We struggle as we find ourselves constantly reminding students to keep their masks on. We struggle to keep them engaged and to teach. One thing we do not struggle with- building connections and showing out love for each child.
