What tends to have a bigger impact long term: staying in public longer or moving to industry at the right time? Both paths get talked about a lot, but outcomes seem very different depending on timing.

Whether moving to industry is a good move depends on timing imo. You need to vet the company well. I didnt leave public accounting until I found a really good role that offers excellent WLB and compensation (50% increase in compensation, guaranteed bonus and usually I work 20 hrs or less a week now, have never ever been busy).

Generally speaking, the level you leave public is the level you enter industry. That’s the main reason to stay since promotions are much more difficult to come by in the real world.

Definitely moving to industry at the right time, but also to the right company. The right company will have a stock purchase plan that can get you an early retirement even if you never become a manager.

Hey guys,
I am planning to startup. Planning to go very big.
The fundamental reason for any business to start is to earn profits if it's not a non-profit org. But, what if the business is owned by the consumers itself. And consumers become shareholders of the business.
1) People fund the business
2) People buy products from it
3) People share profits if there are some.
Goal of such business:
1) Not for profits
2) Increase employment in country
3) Make in India boost
