PM model takes more of a compensation hit. Also, I don’t think the PM model has a bench. You have to be staffed or you leave.
D1 I think you're confusing this with Project Delivery Model, not Product, which actually falls under Studio.
Usually USDC is compared to Project Delivery- not sure about the product model. For Project delivery, you used to need to be in the same city as the client, staffed, else have 2-4 weeks before being asked to leave. It’s essentially a model that covers contractors (without over hours pay). That’s usually the main difference. You interact very less with Deloitte folks outside of your project and aren’t required to do firm initiatives since you’re only hired for the client work. If that ends, and you don’t find another engagement for your skills (Deloitte relies heavily on your networking abilities for staffing and PDM folks haven’t usually networked cuz no FIs), then you will be asked to leave.
Thank you! seems like it is similar to Project delivery
Are you referring to PDM? That’s Project Delivery, not Product. If yes, biggest difference is location proximity to client (blurring with hybrid), 2 levels of manager, slight comp and performance management differences and very limited bench - your employment is tied to the engagement and you have a very small window to find the next thing.
I saw a talent model called "Product Model" not project delivery model.
Product model gets the same benefits package as core
PDM gets same benefits package as USDC
OP, "Product" is part of the Studio. Similar to Core.
