How is the work life balance in Citi?
Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.

All the above will help. However, most companies show the top end of the range to indicate what your salary can grow to over time. I would bet with the range of $80k to $120k. They offer you around $90k to $100k. You will receive 2-4% annual merit increases over time to bring you to the $120k. The job market is challenging for applicants and most are either being lowballed or being offered middle of the range at best. I pray you get more just sharing what I’m seeing!

That’s a pov I hadn’t considered before. I was thinking of it has a starting salary rather than growing into the max. Appreciate both of your feedback!
Years of experience and certifications definitely help. Pretty much anything that makes you more adept and better at your job can be factored in. Even if they offer you a lower or mid-range salary, you can always negotiate up.
Review similar positions on recruiter websites like Robert Half for permanent positions. That is a good way to compare salaries to current market pricing. They fill positions everyday. Also, different industries and size companies, small vs publicly traded all play into salary range.
