When salary range field comes up in online forms, is it better to put my actual expected target, which is usually above the upper end of the range, or just list the upper end of the range? I'm thinking the former b/c it can/will be negotiated, or the latter since listing above the upper end may exclude my application.

I put the upper end of the range with the thought that I can always try to negotiate down the road. Maybe I'm too paranoid, but I just worry that listing above the stated range will get my application tossed. I want to think that wouldn't happen, you just never really know.

I’ve worked at places that all have different holiday policies. EA has at minimum a nice 10 day shutdown from Christmas Eve through New Years. It’s great to know that there will be no slack messages or an exploded inbox to come back to while away. I’ve been at other studios that only give you Christmas Eve & Day and New Years Eve & Day and then the rest is up to you to request for PTO and this is obviously the suck.

Wonder what it’s like for you?

Good morning everyone! I am currently working as an Occupational Therapist at a Level 1 center but am looking to pivot into the clinical research field. Can anyone give any insight into transitioning from bedside to clinic research? Everytime I look online there seems to be certificate programs that may or may not be a scam/waste of money. Would appreciate any thoughts, insight, personal experience, referral., etc.!

I’ve worked in clinical research in the academic/non profit world for the past five years. I want to transition to a role in pharma or a CRO, but haven’t been successful yet because I don’t have industry experience. I’m looking to transition from an academic medical center to pharma or a biotech. I have about 8 years of clinical research experience overall — 7 years combined as a CRC (CRC I, CRC II, and senior CRC) and 1 year as a PM. I’m also recently ACRP-CP certified.

I’ve worked with many different industry-sponsors and CROs throughout the years, but many jobs I am applying to require experience at a biotech/CRO/pharma company. Would really appreciate any advice or referrals. Thanks in advance!

I know that I should aim high and let them counter, but how high exactly? Thanks I’m advance

Hi all! I recently finished my Masters in Biology. I worked on a few studies with human subjects as well as animal work. I am hoping to get a job in clinical research as either a CRC or CRA. I previously worked at a doctors office as a care manager for 4 years, but outside of my academic work I don’t have experience in research. What advice do you all have for entering the field in my position?
Thanks!!
