Tons of opportunities rn for that transition. Look for CRA I positions or a CRA bridge program. They're really looking for people so it shouldn't be too hard if you put your feelers out. I don't think CCRC is necessary but it can't hurt. Good luck!
Definitely not necessary! Look into CRA 1 programs to get your foot in the door. There is so much opportunity right now. I started at PPD as a CRA 1 and love working at the company.
I just applied to PPD for a remote monitoring position 🤞🏼
I transitioned from CRC to CRA about 4 years ago. I was a CRC for exactly 2 years to gain experience in the field, I did pass my CCRC because it was a requirement paid for by my employer for my CRC job. The main benefit of the CCRC certification was that I had access to CRA mentors through ACRP, they helped tremendously with my interview prep for my CRA interview. You can find mentors through other means but I highly recommend you do use them. Also, as mentioned above you should target companies that have a CRA training program opened at an entry level (not all CROs will hire entry level CRAs). That was my biggest hurdle back in the day but that has become a lot easier these days with the intense demand for CRAs and lack of experienced ones. Hope this helps!
Not necessarily! How many years of CRC experience do you have?
