I had a student come up to me and simply say that he got a lot out of my class. This is the same kid who never make eye contact with me, always is slouched over in class, and never talks. Needless to say, I was shocked when he said that. I have to remember this....you never know what someone is going through and you never know what will stick with them.

I just had a student come back and surprise me. I taught them science for 9th and 10th grade nearly 10 years ago. He is now in medical school studying to be a neurologist.

I saw a former student that I taught science to and he saw me, came rushing up to me and blurted out “Thank you! Because of how you taught science and math I am now a doctor!” Was I ever happy for him!!!!!

A Delta flight I took from the US to the EU a few months ago was delayed 24 hours (of which I spent at the airport) and when I asked for a refund for the $1300 ticket they declined and offered a $150 gift card 😂🥴🙃

My boss fired me because i ask for clarification on my employment right.

I got hired not long ago. I realise some of the employee benefits i was told (missing in the contract) contradict with what’s stated on the law. So i email the boss about it and ask for clarification. Immediately after the email i was fired.

Just want to make sure people know this and don’t apply jobs in this shady company- it is called UniQ Biotech, in Delta, BC, Canada

I was recently offered a Zoom interview. The school had 10 interview slots for me to choose from. Three were one day this week and the rest are next week. I chose the first time slot available. Should I have waited until one of the last slots so I was fresher on their mind when choosing a candidate? I am just sitting here stressing out until I here something. Also, do interviewers still appreciate a hand written thank you for the interview?
