I've joined with 2.10 yrs experience and was given the role of Software Engineer. Heard that some people with same or a little more experience got Senior Software Engineer in tech consulting.

When can I expect next promotion?

Also, I'm drawing a salary of 8 lpa. What is the competitive salary for this experience and designation for others here? Can you please share?

I just interviewed with Amazon for the Sr. PM position. I had four back to back interviews. Two of which were also PMs. However, who was the bar raiser in this case if the third was a UI Designer and the fourth was a Software Engineer? 🤔

Have my first interview for Microsoft software engineer new grad position this week. Any advice or tips? Will I be asked any technical questions the first interview? Or is it just behavioral? Any advice on how to prepare for the interview would be great!

Skills: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN & PCIe.
Good understanding on internals of FreeRTOS.
Location: Hyd
Preferred: Bengaluru, Hyd, Remote.

What is a good way of moving from Engineering Manager back to Software Engineer after 2 years of doing EM and around 6 years as a SWE before that? I am not enjoying EM at all and didn’t realize that its a completely different role. Will it look like career regression to companies and will the 2 years of EMing be looked down upon for SWE positions.

Been assigned PM on a customer project about a month and a half ago, but haven't seen any raise/title change.
Customer is vocally happy with how the project is rolling, upper management is also happy. I setup a call with HR to discuss the position and the compensation. Wanted to get a feel of what's fair.

Got job offer from one of the product based giving 15 lpa for software engineer position....now got one more opportunity from Microsoft for support engineer role giving 17 Lpa....so should i do transition in supporting role bcoz of brand name and ctc?? But i m very much interested to be in development field only... I m soo much confused..?? Plz suggest with career growth perspective... Thanks
