Anyone who says salaries are same as US has clearly not done his/her homework. Salaries as well job market are tiny compared to US.
Does anyone know what the immigration process is like for Canada? Like under assumption we have an offer, what type of visa do we apply for/how long does processing take/etc.
There are different kind of work permits. LMIA based or intra-company transfer. Also, there can be other options if PR is being applied simultaneously.
Pwc: Insightful, now I get why as a Canadian and as a Canadian working in America, I understand now why Canadian living standards are so low compared to the USA. Seems like the only thing I learned is that pwc pay must be low
Haha. Salaries at PwC are def low. I make 113k as a senior Associate in tier 1 city.
I will share my experience from PwC and Deloitte interviews
PwC (internal transfer): I was told 85k will be the max they can give for a Senior Associate position as their managers get around the same.
Deloitte CA (manager): I asked for 115K and I wish I could record partners reaction. I think I gave him a heart attack.
115K is still my walk away number and I have been looking for 6 months now. If you know someone who’s hiring, let me know.
PS: I know my shit well - got an offer from a search engine giant in west coast.
Not sarcastically this time, the numbers you gave were interesting. I dunno, don’t apply to the big 4 who’s main business is accounting.
And salaries I mentioned above can easily be verified from anyone working at PwC or even Glassdoor. We have cohort system for couple of years now, so people have almost same salaries.
Salaries are not the same, 80k salary in Canada is huge. Also not all jobs are full time.
Think twice, you might end up saying Canada is a *****
🙋🏾♂️
How are the salaries there?
Same as USA except for fx
What is fx?
Currency = fx
I’m part of Advisory ( fin tech - payment compliance). Don’t know anything about accounting/assurance.
