I left, and I'll keep leaving every couple of years if I'm able. I'm good at my job and love what I do, but passion alone isn't enough to keep me at a job where I'm underpaid. Most organizations don't seem to understand this, or maybe they just don't care? Whatever the case, I've always made more by job hopping than I would have had I stuck around. Unless that changes, there's no reason to stay loyal to an employer.

I used to move jobs in the past a lot but recently due to family issues and childcare I don't see it as an option. It's absolutely frustrating.
I have definitely felt that way before. I actually went to my manager and asked for a raise. It took several months but she was finally able to get me one because she didn't want me to leave.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm glad to hear about your positive outcome and it seems your manager has been very supportive and didn't want you to leave.

I left for a new opportunity when my newborn was only 3 months old as they covered relocation and I will look to do it again and again as the environment within this industry has changed and this is the only way to improve your financial situation

You have done as amazing job! I have been struggling to move only due to childcare. I have add that NHS pay is the same wherever we go unless we move to private sector.
Bit concerned this isn't a real review for the NHS. People from the UK do not use the word paycheck... that is an American saying ? Can you confirm this is indeed a verified review. ?
