Would it be appropriate to wear a spring like dress to an interview at this day and age? I got an interview offer kind of last minute and I'm rather limited unfortunately on my interview garb. So just wondering what I should try to throw together here. Suggestions appreciated!

Yes, however, I’d pair it with a blazer or sweater if you have it. Showing too much skin may be considered to be a bit too casual

I do something with little to no pattern. I saw something a while back about how the brightness the clothes that you wear affects your interview. You want to look nice but with something toned down to put the attention on you and your answers. If it's a "quieter" pattern or you're wearing some sort of jacket (as previously mentioned), go for it.

As a first year - if you like working with a particular partner a lot, is it a good idea to just volunteer for all the work they have for you to do, or is it better to try to get a balance of different work from the practice group? Not trying to come off like Incrediboy.

How does one tell their boss (owner of the company) that you are burnt out?
