Got a 3% as well, was a top performer and they told it was the best hike.
Just curious to know, what would be the % increase in case of a promotion and in case of changing job??
I had a 30% jump going to another company. It’s the easiest way in my opinion if you’re still <10 years in the industry to see massive changes to your salary. Sad, but true. Not uncommon seeing those sizeable gains amongst friends in the industry.
In my time at Liberty I’ve found that raises rarely exceed 5% and the only way to really increase your salary is via promotion or changing roles. Depending on where you fall on the pay scale, you may not even get any type of raise
Liberty still has geographically based salary tables for remote employees. But you still get within the range posted. It more effects you for adjustments down the road and where the min/max is for the range.
I feel like all the % pay raises weren’t as high as inflation so we basically took a pay cut.
We did 5% plus $1000 for COL offsets.
That’s very generous.
I got 23% increase when I got promoted a few years back. Got a 40% increase when I switched jobs. Then I got 12% raise a year later. Then switched jobs again and got a 25% raise.
I had the same experience. Get your CPCU.
I won't say "top performer" but as relationship manager between our business and IT functions I'm well regarded. We got 3.75% here, so okay but not keeping up with inflation. Disappointing for me in that I upskilled with couple IT certs (PSM, PSPO) to take that next career step and get that bump but it didn't come. Inflation, recession, name your excuse.
TONS of questions in the following town hall events, with lip service only about next year. I wouldn't count on it. Don't believe it til you see it.
Rising Star
Not at my last company. And my raise was around 2.25%. My current company is trying to analyze how they’ll determine who gets what for raises … it seems to be based on how hard roles will be to replace if those people left 🤦🏻♀️ not just everyone gets a set % adjustment.
Not my employer. I received a 3% increase and a modest $350 bonus earlier in the year and that’s it.
Recently in a town hall with our CEO, he opened it up for questions and it was asked if next year’s increases will take into account that inflation.
His response, “we are looking at inflation and how that affects the compensation of our valuable employees” was his response.
I think the majority of companies like mine are going to avoid adjusting their comp for inflation, at least for individual producers.
Just the valuable ones, eh?
Travelers gave us 2%. Also a top performer. But I also got a 10% one off/unsolicited raise in the fall of 2021 to “keep up with the market and retain top talent”
The issue I see right now for employers is that inflations is rising faster than anyone can keep up with. So COLA’s are difficult to project since they do not know what is really happening with inflation and the lack of impactful responses from the current administration.
I switched companies and increased my salary by 33% previous employer year increase was between 1-5% most employees fell between 2-3% increase depending on their performance
We got 6% to help out with inflation
In 9 years here, I’ve been unable to materially change my salary even with role changes and promotions. All changes have come through variable pay. I’ve had years where I’ve gotten promotions and still received 0% increase and that is common.
Same here. Top performer, got a promo last year and despite that I managed to exceed expectations and yet got only 3.5%. Quite disappointing for the amount of work I did leading up to getting a promo and exceeding expectations. The previous year I got 5% merit increase which still isn’t keeping up with inflation but it wasn’t as upsetting as 3.5%.
No increase in pay due to Cola. Most likely will have to promote to a different role that's not a bilateral move for pay to increase.
I got a 3.25% and a $1500 performance bonus at mine
I thought my 4% was low for top performer, but maybe not after reading all these comments. We do get a small end of year bonus and I have been trying to rack in as many referral bonuses as possible.
No performance increases last year but they made up for it this year with 6%+
Get 3-5 years of experience and change companies for the bigger increases. Top performers get a little more buts basically socialism there.
Heck no. We didn't get generous raises at all. Its ridic.
