The temperature in the office. All. The. Time. Someone would turn it up. Someone would turn it down. Someone would post a passive aggressive note on the thermostat. So thankful now that I’m in a building where we literally can’t change it. Has to be done by request to building management/the main office.
Yes, the thermostat wars. Classic. You end up mediating between people who act as if two degrees either way is life or death. It is such a silly but universal office battle.
WOW. That sounds really intense. I can't believe people fight over desk space. I haven't had anyone argue over desk space but they have argued over thining someone stole their stapler off their desk.
The stapler fight made me laugh. It is incredible how territorial people can get over the smallest objects. Desk space, staplers… sometimes it feels like playground politics in disguise.

I can feel thy atmosphere! Sounds very petty to argue about desk space, when I’m not there my desk can be used a dumping ground when people walk in the door and then when I walk in the next day they’re like sorry sorry haha, it doesn’t bother me though, it’s not like their ruining my workstation or anything.
That is a healthy perspective. I wish more people were relaxed about desk use. It is the pettiness and drama that drains time and energy far more than the desk sharing itself.
Yea the kitchen regularly comes up. To be fair though I get the annoyance because some people really don't care about clearing up after themselves and I guess it's the same people that do clear up.
