Someone on the ✈️ asks to swap seats with you so they can sit next to their family, are you the type of person who says Y or N? Aisle to middle swap on a 6hour flight..☹️ but its a mother w/ 5 y/o kid
Damn. Was lucky enough to land an interview. The interview went numerous rounds, it was super positive, so then I decided I would be 100% honest about something I wasn’t good at, in hopes of being clear that I was ready to grow. Then I got ghosted, and I think it’s because of the said honesty. Feeling low and stupid for ever admitting a “fault” in an interview instead of just telling them that I’m perfect.
Anyone here utilized an early professional mortgage? I’ve seen a few banks that offer them to attorneys, CPAs, etc that are looking to buy a home with low down payment. Just want to know what the catch is (obviously there has to be one but it’s not apparent from the websites). See link below for an example from Cadence Bank. BBVA does these as well. https://cadencebank.com/personal/mortgages/early-professionals-loan-program
For all the US colleagues: A fellow consultant was doing his MBA in the US. He left in a hurry due to covid and came back to London, but didn’t close his bank account with Santander and left $6-7K. Now the bank says that you can NOT transfer the money to another UK bank with online banking and you need to be physically present at one of their branches to do so. He is not planning to go back for a year. Any advice?
Have the option to transfer to Canada (Vancouver/Toronto/Montreal) and keep my US salary or to London at a 10% paycut. My current salary is 100K USD which will be ~65K GBP if London and ~125K CAD if Canada. Obviously my salary will go further in Canada but London sounds too cool to pass on. So my main question is: will living on 65K in London be comfortable enough that I just do it for the experience? Currently in NYC at 3 yoe and will go back to the US after 1 year for MBA. Please advise!
Used a CPA Exam book as an ice scraper this morning-I'm not ashamed #getyourmoneysworth

Considering obtaining a CFE certification. Can anyone share their experience vs experience obtaining CPA? I’m already a CPA. I just want a comparison of study time requirement and difficulty of exam.
I’m at the Promotion Day celebration at Park Grill (Chicago). I came because I needed to go to Office to return my old Laptop. It’s loud and crowded. I’m never in the Office so I don’t know anyone. :(
Is this behavior normal? I just left a call with the SM, and Partner of a project, and the SM threw my manager under the bus. My M wasn’t on the call to defend himself, & I know for a fact that the fault was more on the SM not being present on the project, not communicating details he got from client to rest of team. M is also my coach and has been awesome at mentoring me and taking me under his wing, but he’s leaving for industry because the hours and WLB has brutal for him & he has a family.
How do our firms view consultants and managers getting pregnant or just having young children in general? Is it a death sentence for future staffing opportunities? Conversely, would it mitigate the risk of layoff due to covid considering the optics / laws around woman’s pregnancy rights in the workplace? Honestly just curious.
Does it make sense to take an hourly role if you can be sure of highly paid consistent overtime?
Any thoughts on getting a degree from Harvard Extension School? I’m thinking of getting a grad degree in Management Info Systems instead of getting an MBA

I’ve seen many posts say if you’re coming from MBB then you have a leg up with admissions. Anyone know how AdComs view Accenture’s strategy practice?
