34 weeks pregnant (2nd baby) & in-house attorney for big energy company w/ tough assessment process. I have honestly not had much work to do for the past few weeks & trying to enjoy it but feeling guilty. I am planning on taking the full paid leave + an unpaid leave of absence w/ guaranteed employment upon my return. Feeling a bit paranoid it will hurt me but I also know that legally it would be stupid for them to do anything. Looking for moral support-should I stop feeling guilty?

Stop feeling guilty x3. You’re pregnant as hell and can give birth in a few weeks, and they easily could be ramping down so you’re not like me working until 10pm the day before you go into active labor (I was in early labor for a few days) 😬 Rest as you can and enjoy the slowness!

I agree. Could be they are being nice or the market. Either way, you enjoying your time now and taking full leave won’t change anything. It’s a bottom line thing you have no control over. Nothing to do with you or being pregnant (if it is, what a sh*tty place).

How much leave are you even taking that you are making yourself feel guilty about it? If you are talking only about legally protected leave, it can’t be that long — it’s totally your employer’s job to cover for employees who can’t work, don’t feel bad for having a life. The right place won’t penalize you for it.
(I’m about to take 7.5 months off for whatever that’s worth).

I am wondering which drafting software everyone uses or likes. For years I have used WealthCounsel and more recently ElderCounsel, but I find them too expensive. I also do a good number of Special Needs Trusts as part of my practice. Any advice on a more reasonably priced drafting software?

I was interviewed for a major tech player in the hospitality industry, had 2 interviews which for the first one the recruiter was late, and didn't confirm the interview while I emaild her to make sure I do have an interview. When she attended she said that there was no point of responding my email as we are meeting anyway. Later on I had 2nd interview with the hiring manager. After 45 minutes she said they will let me know...
