Recently hired an admissions consultant and based off of our consultation she was great. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a ton of non-gmat club/PQ feedback on her but I went with my gut and moved forward. What is the best way to get the most out of my experience with her? My boyfriend and I make 200K combined and live in NJ. We have $1000 in monthly car payments combined. That’s all we owe. Our credit scores are in the 800s. We have 50K to put down on a home. We have done the math and I know we can afford much more but he doesn’t want to buy more than a 400K home. I’m almost positive we can afford 500K and be more than ok. But then he starts to talk about how much kids cost and how we will be house poor and we won’t be able to afford kids. 🤔 Am I insane??

Received a letter from Wells Fargo today. They are offering a refinance of fixed 30 year mortgage at 3.5%. I have no idea how they can do this judging by today’s interest rates. Currently my interest rate is at 4.5%. Judging by Wells Fargo sketchy history, I don’t trust it, however has anyone else gotten this offer?

After I max out my:

1.) 401k for the year
2.) My HSA for the year
3.) ROTH IRA for the year

What do people invest in after that? Whats the most tax advantaged way to save once you have maxed all of the above out?

So embarrassed. I literally had one job to do today which was to schedule a client and give and take her paperwork when she came in. Totally called her by the wrong name today AND gave her the wrong paperwork. She was really nice about it but I feel like my boss was disappointed and I'm disappointed in myself. I don't want her to think I won't be able to keep clients straight when I start doing supervised sessions.

My wife and I are moving to Boston from overseas (we’re from Italy and we’ve recently won the diversity visa green card lottery).

We are looking to rent a 1BR starting in January, ideally for ~$3k/month. I’ll be working in the downtown area.

Do you recommend we go for a serviced/luxury apartment (e.g. Montaje, 345 Harrison, etc.) or hire a broker to get a “normal” apartment?

Any managed buildings recommendations within our budget? Also, what are some good brokers we could work with?
