Agencies: can we pls stop “negotiating” freelancers’ rate?

You asked, we gave you a number, now it’s either a yes or no. Asking ppl to cut their rate by a huge chunk is not a good look, even worse when you say “oh this project doesn’t need someone as senior as you, so you can just perform like a more junior person for this particular project”…as if we are selling you goods, and you are paying us less because you need only 1 orange instead of 2 🥶
