People who are truly happy with their lives are the ones who are successful and win at life in my book. Money eliminates financial stress but doesn’t buy happiness.
In the spirit of your question, financial “success” I’d say 300k income with no kids and not living in CA/NY.
$200k is the new $100k…. Depends if you’re in a HCOL area too.
$100k in NYC might as well be poverty.
Every situation is different though. You could be making $50K with no debt and living with family for free and feel like a king/queen.

Half mil about right to feel good
Absolute #s aren’t what drives the feeling. It’s the amount you make vs what you need to live the live you want.
I make about 4x what I need to make to sustain my lifestyle, so I’ve felt like I’ve “made it” ages ago.
I’d say at 2x the take home you need to live, you feel like you can do anything.
Make 200k in hdol. Deels like in poor as fucj
200k
$1M would make me feel like I have “made it”.
Same on a million.
I make $250k. I don’t feel like “I’ve made it.” I’ll feel like “I’ve made it” once I have enough saved/invested to cover my living expenses without taking from the principal. At that point, I don’t have to worry if my job cuts me.
It’s Gen Z, their opinions are all mid at best
Prob have mom/dad paying some bills and no kids of their own
