This is not a mentor.
Stop working with them. Tell them you appreciate the time and effort they've put into your time at the company, but you're ready to move on or transition to working independently. Then find a new mentor who actually cares about your career, this person clearly does not.
+1 not a mentor. I’d treat this person as I’d treat any detractor: keep an eye open and an ear to the ground so you can be aware of and counter negative buzz. Beyond that, dial back contact and limit engagement.
Sounds like you were assigned a mentor.. who was supposed to show you the ropes as a new hire. I’ve been there. .. my mgr tried to make my peer a mentor but peer(a woman) does everything to exclude me and ensures she was gatekeeper to information. (In my experiences over time women do this often)9 months into my new job…I limit my interactions with her… and never accepted the fake mentorship. These people are only interested in their advancement and will use every opportunity to discredit you
