lol no, that’s not practical for them. They don’t have time to take notes. They gotta build that pipeline
This is truth literally for years.
Sometimes I think these "recruiters" are either clueless about position levels or are looking for people desperate to make money. I have sometimes taken short term, temporary positions while waiting for a good company or good fit position.
I feel this to my core. Back when I was actively looking around 2021/2022 I opened up a LinkedIn on top of looking on other sites for a new job. The number of messages offering $16-$22 for a full time "help desk" or "technician" style job was both staggering and insulting. The 100% do not read the posted resumes based on their initial messages. Most recent one was for the same exact job I'm doing now and it was fully onsite. They initially offered $21 an hour when I started asking questions. I said that it wasn't nearly enough for someone who's decent at that job. They asked how much it would take for me to leave my current company and I just said "double your offer", haven't heard from them since.
They gonna see this as a insult lol. But you're not wrong. Just take out the "note" part because they would care less.
You are correct. Even a desk help service person deserves more than $21 an hour. They are paying people at McDonald's $21 an hour and the people they hire hardly speak very much English and don't really have skill sets that could get them in advanced technology employment.
I was last employed at a measurable casework manufacturer in Fremont. I made 21 and a half dollars an hour when I entered and about 25 ¢ more an hr. when I was laid officially during COVID for undisclosed reasons.
I did my best work there and I did notice that things were getting slow during covid. Management was very polite and quite aware of efficiency levels. They did not pay for anything they didn't really need and when things got slow they started laying people off one by one. They did try to take him back on a couple of times. But they have never re-contacted me in a couple of years. So I'm still out there looking more along the lines of research and development of viable products that require a project leader with some vision, experience at science and technology,, material science, composite materials, bravery, trending needs in hardware and components, construction of mainframe and transformational mainframe. An example is I've Built musical instruments that rollup into a barrel shape and actually saves cubic feet charges during shipping. The innovations I build carry much value. What is that actually worth?....Very much. Could you indicate my value hourly if I'm interested in working for someone else's profit? It almost seems like I should ask for profit sharing. Not minimum wage. And if I take the job with minimum wage then it's like I'm giving away my brain child for nothing. That's just something I'm not going to do. And McDonald's is probably not going to hire me at 69 years old
The recruiters are under pressure to secure a placement (financial and job security). If they get a match between your CV and the jd they'll contact you. I found it a waste of my time, too!
Headhunters/recruiters are going to be the "buggy whip" operators unless AI seriously improves. I've gotten more positions off my own curiosity/searching than some damn recruiter.
