As a European H1B holder and as things are the way they are right now could I go to say Dominican Republic or Brazil or Jamaica for a week and come back? Been closed in my apartment in NY since March and can’t really go back home to Europe for a bit and come back since I’m not a permanent resident here.
Came into the project to replace a light bulb, partner is now asking why the house is painted green.
Some of these posts are ridiculous. They’re like just exited consulting to FAANG/Niche Startup with $150k base and $400k TC with 6 months of experience, you can do it too! Then they ghost or explain that they are a former SWE 😬 coming from MBB. Going to some super Niche role that people with crazy backgrounds are recruited for. Congrats, but not everyone has that background
What is the oddest thing you want to physically add to make the client site a little more tailored to your tastes? Exp: Buy those urinal screens that smell nice and add it to the favorite pisser.
Hey y’all: currently weighing the benefits of obtaining an MBA. Started career with 2.5 years of corporate FP&A, then moved to Senior Consultant at a high growth Mgt Consulting firm (1.5 years in). I’ve seen roles back in industry require (interchangeably) MBA or 2-year management consulting experience. Are MBAs helpful/necessary for consultants...just to have one? Should it be more purpose-driven? Etc.
How many SF certifications do you have? Do you struggle to keep them up to date with 4 delta exams per certification?
Work from home has caused me to develop some bad habits. I start drinking at noon a lot of the time and finish a fifth of scotch by the time I go to bed.
I truly do not understand how you all enjoy full time WFH environment. We spent 4-5 years at college studied for exams, became sought after professionals just to spend 8-10 hours in your room every day like a prisoner. Does commuting suck for some ? Sure. But to think that I for the next 40 years I am going to be home all day every day without interaction happy hours office jokes office culture. It’s crazy. Part of being a white collar professional is the act of putting on the white collar.
Hi! I’m a senior graphic designer newly laid off looking for a new in-house creative position. Let me know, thanks
Those of you at Blackstone - is the hierarchy really as flat as Stephen Schwarzman claims in interviews?
Worth it to go from M&A at D to BCG for a lead knowledge analyst role? Sounds like a M&A research role, but would be a foot in the MBB door
