Hi everyone, I’m looking for some post-interview advice. I had an interview last week that went really well. I emailed a thank you to the partners who were in my interview along with writing samples per their request, to which the managing partner responded, “let’s touch base Monday.” I didn’t hear back yesterday and am wondering whether it’s appropriate for me to follow up and if so, how do I word it? Or do I continue to wait? I want to show interest but not come off too aggressive. Many TIA!
Shoulda ran out the door when the managing partner at my firm said people who ask about “work-life balance” in their interview were not considered for the job. (Sigh)
Who generally posts the job postings on a big 4’s career page? In general, who should I address the cover letter to? Considering addressing the office managing partner at the office I’m applying to
Email Resume to Managing Partner? Or just apply online? I saw the posting online, have no connections to the managing partner or firm, but found the partner's email address on the website. Yay or nay on good form to email it directly to him after applying online?
Just need a quick moment to vent! Two weeks ago, I applied for an associate position at a family law firm. I received a response almost immediately from the managing partner, who asked if I was available for a preliminary Zoom interview the very next day. The Zoom interview went exceedingly well, and I was asked to come in for an in-person interview the following afternoon. At the end of the second interview, the managing partner briefly explained the compensation... (CONTINUED IN COMMENTS)
In interviews with Gartner consulting. Any rumors out there on what the culture is like or pay range for Managing Partner role?

Trying to lateral transfer into Deloitte S&A as experienced consultant, and got a 30-min Business/Culture phone interview with a manager. What to expect?
Final round interviews? Are the jobs yours to lose at that point? Have two with two great companies and am praying I get at least one offer. Can’t take working here any longer
I’m the only creative on one of the smaller accounts at my agency, where I am referred to as the “Creative Director” for the account. But I’m a junior AD... In interviews etc. can I say I am a CD? 🧐
Can anyone shed light on what exactly happens after you officially put in 2 weeks notice at EY? Exit interview scheduled? When do you return laptop?
I’m guessing because it’s thanksgiving week/holidays coming up, interview follow ups and scheduling are going to be really slow/delayed....yes?
How long to Waite to follow up after an interview? Followed up once after the interview ( two days after) now it’s been over a week. The interview went well.

I usually have good luck getting interviews having consulting on my resume. Any 🐠 have any experience exiting consulting, and still having good recruiter reach out numbers + getting new interviews?
Question on references: Interviewed for a very niche cyber position and recruiter made verbal offer & is suggesting listing references of peers and managers. I plan to list peers from former non-cyber teams but they wont be able to speak to my cyber experience. However, if I list peers from my current team who can speak about my capabilities, then I will have to inform them and jeopardize my future with current firm in case I don't accept the recruiter's offer. So what do you do?
I got an offer at Accenture after only 2 interviews for a Salesforce technical position. This blows my mind. For context, I went through 6 interviews at Slalom to land an offer there. I am afraid of Accenture being an "easy come easy go" job. Which do you think would be more stable in this pandemic?
Is it too much/annoying to send the hiring manager another email after the thank you note? I finished my final rounds last week for my no. 1 choice, and sent a thank you email summarizing my key skills. The hiring manager responded. Today the recruiter called saying the manager hasn’t made a decision, but I’m in their final list. Should I send an email to the manager to reiterate my skills and strong interests? don’t want to sound desperate either, I have interviews with about 5 other companies
Has anyone tried the investment cases on firms consulting? I need help for PE/investment interviews.
I started an Independent Study project with my students. They are 7 and 8 year olds. They chose their own topics...and holy cow! We have Nikola Tesla, Fibonacci, history of guitars, coding, etc.
Got an offer from Tesla. Having second thoughts about relocating to Bay Area (actually I don’t want to). They didn’t pitch this as a remote role. Thoughts??
What's the best way to go about negotiating a salary when getting a promotion? What leverage have you used?

I left a firm (AMLAW 100) recently but forgot to print the list of matters I worked on while at the firm. How much of a pain is it going to be for me to get that list from HR (for conflicts purposes)? Any advice?
Grew up with a schizophrenic father prone to outbursts and rage, and a neurotic/depressed mother who turned that way while caring for him for over two decades. While we’re all highly educated, all of us struggle financially and now I have to support them because they have no retirement savings. I have my own history with a lot of abuse and trauma while living with/away from them. I am not where I had hoped I’d be in my career and life and I feel like I’ll never be able to catch up.
Remote Instruction is what we get for all the times we thought to ourselves pre-pandemic, "I wish I could sit down for 2 minutes."
D 🐠- friend’s little brother has a case interview for the Strategy Analyst role. He’s just out of college. Any tips for him? What’s the format?
Started with EY as an intern, currently a Senior 2 moving to Senior 3 in Oct. Part of Indirect Tax in the New York Metro Area. Reviews and utilization are consistently above peer group average. CPA, no Masters. Currently salary is 77k. I feel like I’m underpaid compared to peers/others when I see threads on Fishbowl. Does this seem low to anyone else? I need a 17% raise to break 90k at Snr 3, which I’d be bummed to not get after EY preached about high raises. New job searching level bummed 😔.
Choosing between a construction recruiter or a tech recruiter. Both are corporate and not self employed. Which would you choose and why ?
