Tough time getting past final step: I’ve been trying to make a career shift for 10 months now and continue to get rejected at the last step. Im confident in the value I can provide and do well at presenting it. However, once it’s comes down to me and 1-2 other candidates, I repeatedly have been turned down for the person who has more relevant experience as they’re a safer bet for the employer. Would love advice from anyone who’s dealt with this before. It’s tough to get them to take a risk on me

How long does it take for PwC to send out rejection email? I interviewed with the team like a month ago, the recruiter called me the next day and told me that congrats, everyone likes me and told that they were working on my official offer. 3 weeks later, nothing. I followed up 3 times already and got the answer that I should expect to hear by the end of the week. My last follow up email, no response lol. Should I just move on now?

didn't pass the loop for an L7 role earlier this month, and i found a good suitable l6 role. One of the interviewers added me on linkedin a few weeks back- is it inappropriate if i reach out to him to say thanks and ask him to put in a word for me with hiring manager for the l6 role?

Just started a new Data Analyst position in which I have constant meetings with senior leadership and executives. I have a bad habit of giving too much background info and not getting straight to the point. I just feel like every little detail is important (even though that’s not always the case). Started talking to this guy through group a group telegram and one day he offered to pay for my lunch as I had helped him out with something. Since then he has been offering to pay for my dinners, salon visits, shopping etc and I have accepted 3-4 times. I am in a steady relationship and my boyfriend doesn’t know about this. Why is onsite so important for us IT people even though we can live a more comfortable life here in India and save equally here too? Not judging anyone since I am also one of those people who feels like a failure because I couldn't make it to onsite in last 7 years while many of my peers have.
