I have a coworker who was a Wall Street IB back in the 80s. He constantly uses 'business' phrases like this:
"This is creating synergy"
"Let's sharpen our pencils"
"The sky is blue; water is wet"
"Let me double click into that"
"Let's not lose the forest through the trees"
"Put it on the backlog"
"What's the action item here?"
...stuff like that. On and on; week after week. Another coworker and I have started playing a game of catchphrase bingo when we get on calls with him.
