Hello People,
I received a verbal offer letter from Oracle. I said yes and things moved on. BGV was initiated as well. BUT, Yesterday I received a call from the hiring manager that Oracle is putting hiring freeze, so they are not able to release offer letter as 1 approval was still pending from the VP. I am not sure about tips but I guess it becomes easier with time. Who you are currently living with partner, parents, friends or alone? You can visit them during weekends. If it’s partner, you will have to decide how to live together in the long run, either midway for both of you. When I moved away from my parents house for the first time, I was 21 and I cried during my entire flight. Now, I am 35 living alone in a different country. It’s challenging and sometimes lonely but I also love the experience. Just be sure about the opportunity if that’s what you are moving for. Also, home is always the place you can return to if you want. I did during Covid.

I think my tips would all depend on what you’re most concerned about. If you’re worried about being able to meet new people, I always recommend you find some volunteer opportunity or hobby that gets you out of the house and with people with similar interests as you.
One thing at a time. Moving is such an undertaking. Packing, logistics, finding a new place to live, etc. Try to break it up as much as possible and tackle what you can when you can. Congratulations on the opportunity!
I would personally do a massive declutter. It's so much easier to move less stuff pretty much as a universal rule. I've moved a lot in my life and I've learned to only keep the things I love and to rehome the clutter.
