It's funny that you say that, my husband is always sending me house listings in Texas. He seems to think it's such an amazing place to live because property is dirt cheap. But he doesn't realize that the houses are in the middle of nowhere with no jobs around. That's the only reason we're not living in Texas right now lol.

That’s a really practical point. Lower housing costs can look great on paper, but they don’t always line up with job access or long-term career options. Do you think remote work would change how you evaluate places like that, or is location still a big factor for you?

Cost of living definitely shifts the value of a salary, but money alone doesn’t tell the full story. Factors like job availability, career growth, and lifestyle tend to matter just as much. For you, what trade-offs feel acceptable and which ones are deal breakers?

Wow! I'd love to live in texas. Some leople here in the UK work in London but live in the midlands. They catch the the train everyday to work. Live where it's cheaper and work were the wages are higher. Is it really worth the long commute.
