Are any of you looking forward to Amazon Prime Day personally or professionally? Do you have your eyes on something? Is it just a marketing strategy to observe?

I've been dying to try out one of those robot vacuums. I know I'm super late to the chase, but there are some Prime deals I saw for one I had my eye on. Just debating if it's better to wait for black friday. How about you?

I waited for the Prime Day discount to get a Kindle Scribe last year. I did get a travel monitor for my laptop for $50. Sometimes the gadgets are tempting.

I think it's a lot of hype for little reward. I check every year, and I've never found a deal that was exceptionally tantalizing. My dad works at Amazon and he hates to agree, but he also says that the deals can be a little bit lackluster.

It’s the buzz that intrigues me. Amazon basically gets free promotions from shoppers on the hunt for “deals.” Competition offers their own discounts at the same time. You may do better shopping somewhere else.

Not a big shopper on prime day but it is amazing how they basically made their own shopping holiday. Black Friday is for Christmas shopping which is a holiday that’s been around for thousands of years and tied to major religious events. Prime Day was thought up by a giant corporation and seems to be as popular in the zeitgeist as a holiday tradition of caring for others and giving more the receiving.

Kudos Bezos.

Anyone see any results yet? Would love to share some insights!

$7B the first day, but it’s looking like a 41% drop from last year. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/is-amazons-prime-day-sale-losing-its-appeal-some-early-data-suggest-shoppers-are-spending-less-this-year-ac365fbb

Facebook Ads after iOS 14 changes.

I'll share my experience and urge you to share yours:

Since iOS 14 changes, Facebook ads isn't the same anymore. Why?

A. >75% iOS users denied tracking. They are no longer tracked across websites/apps. Facebook lost its edge.
B. Targeting and conversion tracking aren't as effective anymore.
C. Many advertisers have been migrating their budgets from Facebook to Apple and Amazon ads.

What's your experience? Let's all learn.

Hi so I need help. I currently work to bring clients into the company i work at for web design, social media management, and brand strategy. I also do this as feeelance on the side, so where do I draw the line between who I refer to the company I work for or who I personally do freelance for? First off - thanks for any help!

After doing freelance for the last two years, I’ve decided to go back to the corporate world. I’ve been applying a ton of places but keep getting turned down immediately - not even a first interview and I can’t figure out why.

I feel like I have a lot of good accolades as far as awards, a graduate certificate program board I’m on, really good stats from my previous work, etc.

I have 7 years experience. Are people looking for someone w/ less experience/cheaper?

2) Anyone currently working at the companies above with only a BBA?

Hi! I have been working in marketing and advertising for ~5 years and recently started exploring the freelance side of things. I started conversations with a small boutique studio about doing Facebook ads for them and they asked what my retainer fee would be to manage them. Since I’ve always worked for a company that was hired to do it I am not entirely sure what a freelance rate for that should be? I would love any insight.
