I exited to Google a few months ago. I’m enjoying my Strat role, based in Mountain View. However I still have thoughts of an MBA, mostly because it feels like I’d be missing out if I didn’t do one, not like I actually need one. I just turned 25, so I’ve got a little time. Curious to hear your thoughts if I should do one or not.
When you travel abroad, do you exchange cash here in the states, in the country you’re traveling to, or withdraw from an ATM?
Hello! I was wondering if someone can explain the difference between PM vs. PMM, and tips for non-PM/PMMs in making a transition to the industry. Are there preliminary skills I should acquire before applying? Any info on day to day and salary will be helpful! Thank you :)
Onsite with client. He says, try to blend in more, we are jeans and T-shirt’s around here. This is my favorite thing to hear clients say. What’s yours?
Was talking to a friend in federal and she said that her project tends to take remote Fridays even though there's no fly day since the govt slows down. Is this typical for federal projects?
Our client consistently gives us unreasonable deadlines (here is stuff at 5pm on Friday, need your comments by Monday at 3). Is there a reason the partner/manager can't push back and set expectations?
You wake up at Seatac, SFO, LAX. You wake up at O'Hare, DFW, BWI. Pacific, mountain, central. Lose an hour, gain an hour. This is your life and it's ending one minute at a time.
International flight and no USB? Are you serious AA? Update your shit. At the end of this project I'm doing status match to another airline.
I'm considering a consulting position coming from industry. What's the ramp up period like in consulting and what are the things I need to be mindful of in terms of client interaction/ delivery, etc?
I recently switched all my investments to Merrill lynch. I can sell trade for $0 commissions and hold the same vanguard ETFs. After 100k in assets you get hella credit card points on BOA cards
Looks like Delta removed the part of their Status match program that specified it would be processed in 7-14 business days. 19 days and counting here! I don't understand how it can be so slow
Have been sick all day today/ in bed and have a 6:00am flight tomorrow and a steerco in afternoon. FML-- suggestions to get rid of a cold faster?? Other than standard meds??
Has anyone looked at Sisense? I was contacted by their recruiter about a BI Consultant role, sounds like an analytics focused EA role. Appreciate any insight into the company/job
