yes! i have a friend who tried for over a year and got pregnant on her second IUI. I have another friend who tried for about a year, had an IUI scheduled… they canceled it because there wasn’t a dominate follicle… the couple had timed intercourse instead and ended up getting pregnant. i don’t think they’re a waste of time but i think after doing 3 of them it’s best to get your ducks in a row around IVF.

Yes. I actually just found out yesterday that this woman I know conceived through a natural IUI cycle
Natural aka unmedicated IUI success here. Did the trigger shot. It was the easiest step of the entire process.

My RET told me success stories of IUI (just yesterday, just last week) but they’re anecdotal. Unfortunately the stats are the stats though so you’re looking at less than 10% chance each time depending on medication. If you want to try go for it (I did it 2x to make be confident my TTC efforts weren’t in vain), but if you care about making the process shorter and higher odds move onto IVF (IUI ended up being a waste of emotion and time for me).
What does natural cycle mean in the context of IUI? I am going to start IUI in January. My RE said it has a 5-8% success rate.
Meaning no letrozole or clomid to help with ovulation. The success rate with natural cycle IUI is more like 1-3% but wanted to get some hope
