I'm glad people can order things online and get them the next day; but it makes my job harder because a lot of the people in my company don't see that we just don't have the infrastructure for that kind of operation, so they need to order it BEFORE they need it the next day

The worst policy that an online company can have is to work only on request, that is, you are not sure that you will meet the client with the demands that you allow the client to have, when you get a single bad order that client hates you and tell everyone you hate

IT IS TOO STRESSFUL; I'm in your shoe friend, companies like Amazon have delay times, imagine humbler companies like the one I work for, but they still maintain crazy delivery times where I'm the one who runs the most, even more than the person who carries the package.

A company that does not have good acquisition logistics will not succeed in the future, if they continue at that rate they will be bound to fail in a short period of time.

There is nothing worse than stress due to other departments of the company, that is to say, the problem within your own ranks is worse than an external problem because you feel that it can be solved but either the solution takes a long time, or it is never solved, and while your work is affected.

When a product is late because of the purchasing department I always call a meeting and count it, we've already had 53 meetings so far this year, and Black Friday is still to go, this is going to be big.

I hate it when this happens, people don't realize that ordering online is easy for them, but for us it's a whole lot of things that go on in the background before the customer can get their product they ordered. Best of luck with the Holiday season, friend!

Considering an offer to go from firm (4 YOE) to become a privacy/product counsel for a tech company (non-faang). One concern for me is the potential of a recession in late 22 into 23 with the fed rate hikes. My fear is if that happens, me being on the chopping block as new in house counsel. If I stayed at the firm, I feel reasonably secure as an associate of not being laid off due to the market. How do in house counsel positions typically fare during lay off cycles? Any experiences to share?
