I’ve been using Surest and have had no issues. Have used it for regular visits, PT, maternity care etc. I checked the copays with my existing providers before starting.
When I was looking for a new PT after moving yes there were variable copays but it didn’t take long to review copay rates vs google reviews etc before deciding who to go with
I was curious about this too. Seems like a great plan, but have never heard of them. Is there a difference between the Aetna and United Health HDHP? They seem exactly the same.
I listed to the webinar today and everything sounds almost too good to be true. Sure the lowest copay for X dr might be $30…but will I have to travel 40+ miles to get that rate?? I used their website tool today to look at doctors in my area and it seems the list is plentiful. But Reddit reviews said that the app is not reliable and that they spent a lot of time individually verifying and calling on their own. It sounds nice to save $ but ultimately I don’t wanna spend additional hours on the phone w bad customer service. I think I’m gonna stick with my BCBS
Surest is owned by UHC. I have a couple of single coworkers with no medical issues that have been happy with them. UHC is a bottom barrel insurance company so if you have routine medical needs, I wouldn’t recommend that plan.
The HDHP and Traditional PPOs always have the same plan design. It’s just the carrier that changes as different location in the US may have more in-network providers for one carrier over the other. Again, stay away from any UHC plan.
Has anyone had a truly bad experience with Surest Copay PPO (after previously leaving BCBS or Cigna PPO)? All my doctors are covered under Surest but I’m worried about leaving BCBS PPO cause I’ve been with it for years.
My exact situation. I’m currently with BCBS and have had a great experience, but it would be nice to save more money
I’ve had nothing but great experiences in NYC.
