Hi everyone, I have 2 years of experience in a service based industry as a Java developer, and I am eager to work hard and switch to a reputed product based organisation, but I am not getting proper time to study and practice data structures and algorithms, as I have so much to learn and understand things which are related to my project. Any suggestions would be appreciated and I'll try to inculcate it. Thanks in advance! Amazon Oracle Samsung Microsoft Cisco Salesforce Arcesium Uber

I would wager that you’ll find few to no transitions into PE from tech consulting backgrounds. Notoriously hard to break into PE post-mba if you didn’t have pre-mba PE experience, and that’s before adding a non-finance background to the mix.
Transitioning to IB should be very doable though, provided the right Mba program and you being absolutely on top of your shit when it comes to OCR

Search LinkedIn. Not sure many of those transitions take place.
Tech consulting (Accenture, Deloitte etc) -> MBA -> PE
Probably more possible for IB. Have seen a few more that have done this path

Anything is possible. I knew of someone at ACN, doing part tech, part strategy and moved to IBD post MBA. Just need to hustle and ideally do 2 year to get a shot at intersnhip
Doing an IB internship during my mba this summer after working at accenture. Very doable and a large number of my classmates who went into IB were also consultants previously. PE is damn near impossible to break into unless you’re a diversity candidate as many shops are feeling the pressure from LPs to diversify employee demographics. Best bet is grind it out in IB and then flex connections from classmates in PE to get a job after a year or two
