Christy's
Larry’s boot fitting in boulder. Where a lot of pros go.
EPIC stores offer a discount for season ticket holders. Honestly REI/Christys/EPIC/whatever will all have similar experiences from mildly incompetent boot fitting employees. Make sure to ask for lots of options as they will likely push you in one direction they want to sell (it’ll be an expensive one).
I like Larson’s in wheat ridge which is on the way to the resorts
Completely agree with Larson’s. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. I have my season rental from there, and can switch out boots/board in case I want to try something new.
Do not listen to people saying REI or Christy’s lol.
Make an appointment at Evo for a boot fitting

I had a fine experience at Christy’s. Make sure you splurge for the custom fitted insoles. I’ve heard Boot Mechanics in Golden are the absolute best. As a lower intermediate when I bought my boots I didn’t think it was worth it. I might go for it on my next pair since I’m a better skier now.
REI is the place to go. They have the most flexible return policy.
Larry’s without question. In Boulder.

Boot mechanics for boots and a proper boot fitting. You’ll be better off in the long run than the bigger box stores like evo or Christys
Had a great experience with evo.

Both my kids ski competitively, so we have been to a ton of place over the years. I would probably stay away from the big places, just because they have so many people and not all are great. That said we do go to Epic, but only to see one certain salesperson. His name is Mark Chavez and he works at the Aurora store. You can ask for him.
Other places we like:
Evo
Larry’s in Boulder
Bent Gate in Golden
Christys in Cherry Creek
Are these places applicable for snowboard gear or just just ski gear?

I would use ski/Board interchangeably for this conversation. For boarding it is a little less critical to have a great shop, as the boot fitting is way less precise/technical for boarding boots as compare to ski boots.
