Built my way to a law career from nothing — paid my own tuition, no safety net, no roadmap. Made it into the rooms I worked for and still felt like I didn’t belong in them.
Took me a while to realize it wasn’t imposter syndrome exactly. I just spent my entire twenties surviving. No space to figure out who I was, what I liked, what kind of woman I wanted to become.
Now I’m doing that work. A little late maybe, but doing it.

From consulting to investing / lending - anyone has guidance on how to make the move? I’m a consulting manager with finance experience pre-MBA. Thinking about pivoting into investing / lending but struggle to find an angle - assumed that it would be hard to break into investing but lending would be great (all the way from corporate banking to mezz). Any guidance on seeking relevant experience while in consulting?
