No, it’s much more than just a support function, you’ll build expertise in the practice you’ll be supporting. Your role is more of an expert to the consultants and thought partner to the team leadership than simply data managing. However, being floater means they might move your around as per other teams requirements. In this time, use resources and trainings to build your expertise and strategic thinking.
You’ve interviewed for a floater SKS which means they will position you with teams that require additional support for few months (mostly 6 months to begin with). It might become a permanent position within that practice or they move you another team that requires the support. Eg: you join TCS team as a floater and 6 months later they might move you to ENR. For such a situation where your stakeholders will be changing, testing on behavioural makes sense. If you were interviewing for a specific position eg: SKS PEG, they would have focused on your PEG exposure.
